PRINTFEST was set up in 2001 by artists Judy Evans and Ronkey Bullard in order to bring artists/printmakers to the North West of England, away from the normal exhibition centres, to exhibit and sell their work in this beautiful location close to the popular tourist area of The Lake District.

Our aim:
To offer artists a low cost exhibiting/selling opportunity with new audiences

Promote the work of artist printmakers.

Give the public access to high quality artwork for viewing and buying from artists based in all areas of the U.K and abroad.

Bring artists together for the duration of the exhibition to exchange
information and create new ideas.

PRINTFEST has always achieved its goals since it's first opening. It provides a genuinely friendly atmosphere for both the public and artists to enjoy. The exhibition attracts artists dedicated to the art of high quality printmaking and boasts a great variety of work.

PRINTFEST brings contemporary quality artwork to audiences that have limited access to the visual arts. Its welcoming atmosphere enables our audiences to view and purchase (often for the first time) in an unthreatening atmosphere.

The Artists

PRINTFEST exhibits the work of up to 36 artists.

The variety of work includes all mediums of printmaking: wood cuts, wood engraving, etching, lithographes, silkscreen, digital and mixed media.

PRINTFEST has provided an outlet for exhibiting the work of many Cumbrian printmakers but also attracts a great number of artists from all over the UK
and abroad.

In order to maintain an exciting exhibition each year new artists are invited to each event bringing artwork to suit many tastes.
